Thanks for ordering your ShyMarketing press release! Here are the next steps:

Step One: Get Your Press Release (PR) Written

Write your release so it announces something new and exciting happening (or something that has already happened) with your company, products, services, events, or people. Write it in 3rd-person (as if a journalist was writing about you).

  • It is a good idea to make your list of Key words/phrases first and use them in the following areas generously: Headline, Intro and Body Copy.
  • Headline (200 characters MAX including spaces. Include key words).
  • Intro (500 characters MAX including spaces, commas, etc. Include key words).
  • Body copy (400-500 words). Use your keywords in the first 200 words.
  • 1-2 Photos AND one logo (improves search results for images and graphics)
  • Up to 5 live links to websites, social media pages, Google maps, videos, etc.
  • Note: you will get a separate email with PR building tips for best results. Make sure you read it as it will vastly improve your results.

Step Two: Load PR to our Onboarding Page HERE

  • The easy-to-follow guidelines make it simple to get it ready to publish.
  • Make sure all links have been tested. Proof for grammar and typos.
  • Set up a date and time for release (at least one week away). Most people just choose the “as soon as possible" option.
  • When you are done, submit it to us to review. It is just coming to us to review and IS NOT GOING LIVE at this stage. It takes 1-3 days to format your PR depending on if there are errors and how quickly you respond to our emails.
  • This link will be useful for you if you have purchased multiple press releases in a package. Keep it handy for subsequent press releases:    https://xcb8smfj.pages.infusionsoft.net/email=ron@shymarketingllc.com

Step Three: Final Proof and Schedule for Release

We will proof your PR and if we see any errors or have advice, we will notify you. We will code your PR and send you a PROOF to approve. Once approved, it will go out as scheduled for permanent distribution on the web. All submissions are final once distributed and cannot be retrieved. Please read your proof carefully.

Step Four: Your Press Release Report

Approximately 4-5 days after your Press Release is published, we will send you a YES! PRESS™ RELEASE REPORT in both a PDF format, showing all site logos as well as in an Excel spreadsheet formatted document. Each will have direct links to the hundreds of sites now displaying your news! In most cases, your PR will be online for at least one year (a few sites may discontinue after 6 months). Many sites keep it live even longer or indefinitely!
